Mosaic Represents at Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s
March 25th, 2011
We’re big fans of hockey here at Mosaic. Even though it seems that every year the company dog Timber always wins at the playoff hockey pool, we do actually know a little bit about the subject.
Which is why when we were given the opportunity to support the Scotiabank ProAm for Alzheimers from March 18 – 20th, we jumped at it. Blending hockey and a great cause together was the perfect opportunity to Mosaic to show our support.
This national touring event saw Gordie Howe joining other NHL hockey alumni such as Theo Fleury, Joel Otto, Lanny McDonal, and Tiger Williams help ‘Stick it to Alzheimer’s.”
This ultimate hockey experience allows everyday hockey enthusiasts to team up with former NHL stars in a multi-day tournament where all the proceeds go towards battling Alzheimer’s and related disorders.
The first day features a Draft Party Extravaganza where each team drafts an NHL alum to play with them during the tournament. Teams raise a minimum of $25,000 to support the cause!
The next two days teams, along with their NHL ringers, take to the ice and compete in a battle royale tournament.
The Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s travels every year from Calgary to Edmonton and Toronto. Next year’s series is set to include Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver! For more information or to register your team go to the Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s official website.
