Mosaic Instrumental in Design of Albi Showhomes
May 8th, 2009
Showhome sale centres are an interesting design challenge. They must be beautiful, emotive and sexy, yet logical and, most of all, functional. Take Albi Homes, for example. This luxury Calgary homebuilder builds some of the finest homes in some of the finest communities in the city. Their sale centres needed to live up to that same status while ensuring the sales teams were satisfied and visitors received the information they needed, all the while existing as a reflection of the Albi Homes themselves. That’s where Mosaic came in.
Mosaic’s fundamental design idea was to wow visitors as soon as they stepped through the front doors. Beginning with what one would see first when walking in. We worked with Calgary print company, Anvy Digital on incorporating an 8’ x 4’ display panel, which stood opposite the entryway and illuminated some of the rich essences of the communities, and of the homes themselves. A mixture of raised brushed metal and vinyl text-treatments welcomed visitors and completed the ensemble.

Mosaic also incorporated emotive messages throughout the sale centre; some on the walls, some on the cumbersome soffits that line the ceiling of the spaces. The messaging paid tribute to the values and methods used by Albi Homes in crafting such beautiful residences. Mosaic ensured the design and production was conducive to the overall effect of the showhome.

Everything from sale centre layout, furniture design, floorplan display boards, espresso machine and espresso cups were ideas driven by how we felt people explore sale centres and, ultimately, how we felt would be the best way to ease buyers’ minds during a most important purchasing occasion.
